Florence – On 4 November the Robert Schuman Centre, in collaboration with the Economic and Social Research Council ‘The UK in a Changing Europe’ initiative (King’s College), will host a workshop at the European University Institute to explore the political, economic, social and legal facets of the UK’s departure from the EU.
Speakers will address why the referendum passed; the internal divisions in the UK brought to light with the vote — especially with regard to Ireland; the negotiations and institutional consequences of leaving; and perspectives on the future dynamic between the UK and the remaining ‘EU 27’.
